FY25_RII_ITPA
Deadline Feb 18 2025 05:00 PM (PST)
Description

The USC Office of Research and Innovation (OORI) Institutional Training Planning Award (ITPA) will assist in developing and enhancing USC’s institutional research infrastructure by preparing faculty to submit competitive institutional training applications to federal agencies like the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. Institutional training awards are the primary driver in improving a university’s ability to educate the next generation of skilled researchers and prepare them to pursue scientific careers and competitive research funding opportunities. To submit an institutional training grant application, faculty members must collect a wealth of data from university departments and mentors, conceptualize program administration, identify mentoring faculty, develop a comprehensive training plan, and design a program evaluation framework. Awards funded under this program will assist faculty in these planning activities and help them to prepare for proposal submission.

Applicants may only submit one proposal application award cycle as the corresponding PI. Applicants may serve as co-PIs or collaborators on more than one proposal application per award cycle.

For additional information, and to download the Request for Proposals, please click here.

If you are experiencing technical issues submitting your proposal or have additional questions, please contact rii@usc.edu.

This portal requires information about the PIs and Co-PIs in addition to department and contact information, including the 10-digit USC ID#. Please have this material prepared before beginning this application.
